Do you customize an existing theme or build from scratch?
It depends on your budget and timeline. For most stores, we start from Shopify’s free Dawn theme as a technical foundation and build a fully custom design on top of it, which gives you the best balance of speed to launch and long-term flexibility. For stores with highly specific functionality needs, we build the theme entirely from scratch. We recommend the right approach after understanding your catalog and goals, not by default.
Do I need Shopify Plus?
Most stores don’t need it. Shopify Plus makes sense once you’re processing a high volume of orders, need advanced B2B/wholesale functionality, or require custom checkout scripting that standard Shopify plans don’t allow. If you’re not sure, we’ll tell you honestly during the discovery call rather than upselling you into a plan you don’t need yet.
How many apps will my store actually need?
As few as genuinely necessary. Most stores we take over have far more apps installed than they need, and every one of them adds load time. We typically consolidate or remove several apps during a rebuild while keeping the functionality you actually use, like email marketing or reviews.
